A fun weekend in New York City with my two best friends - my mama and my sister! They flew direct from St. Louis while I flew through DCA. We arrived right after one another so our timing couldn't have been more perfect!
After arriving at LGA - which btw, the airport renovations at this point are amazing - we grabbed an Uber and headed straight to Midtown. Our hotel was in that area so we wanted to drop our bags and start the weekend!

We did some shopping at Macy’s first. I do love visiting in April because it’s the flower show and the store is absolutely gorgeous. We shopped for purses - shoes - and clothing. And, in that order.

We had a 1 pm reservation for Refinery Rooftop where we enjoyed a perfect lunch on the rooftop. It was a beautiful day so we enjoyed the sunshine and some good drinks. I’m not sure how you do this - but I would suggest noting that you want to sit outside for your reservation. Obviously, it’s a rooftop but there are some tables that are more “indoor” than the others.

After lunch, the shopping really got started. We headed to the West Village for stops at Stoney Clover and Little Words Project. Of course, there were plenty of shops that we stopped at on the way.
For dinner, we had a reservation at Serra by Birreria. SO SO SO GOOD. Our reservation was a perfect time because it was still daylight when we arrived but by the time we were finished, it was dark. We stopped in at Eataly and grabbed some champs to drink on the hotel patio for a nightcap.

Saturdays in NYC are really something. We were up and at it first thing in the morning. We headed for Times Square because we had a lunch reservation at Tavern on the Green in Central Park. Our stops were Times Square - Rockefeller Center - St. Patrick’s Cathedral - The Plaza - Central Park - and, my personal favorite, the MET.

Lunch at Tavern on the Green was beyond amazing. We will definitely be back. Highly, highly recommend it.

After lunch, we headed back to the hotel - with a stop at FAO Schwartz. We had an event that evening so we had to book it to get showered and cleaned up!
Our event was at City Winery on behalf of the Michael J Fox Foundation. It was an absolutely beautiful venue and was highly recommended for an evening dinner and drink!

After the event, we headed to Bocca di Bacco for dinner. It was a very intimate setting and the food was delicious.

I wish we had an extra day because I could have used another full day exploring and walking around the city. There is something about NYC that is completely energizing. It’s judgment-free, you can get anything you want at any time of the day, and there is so much diversity.
