I am so excited to bring you all the details to my skincare routine! If you follow me on the gram, you probably noticed my post a few days ago about my 'holy grail' product - Skinceuticals CE Ferulic. This stuff has changed my skin for the better and I'm so glad I added it to my regimen.
Let me kick this off with my major skin complaints. I am blessed with good skin - in the fact that I do not get random breakouts more than a couple times a year. (BLESS!) So, no acne scars or complaints there. However, my family loves the sun and wrinkles run deep so I definitely have my work cut out for me on looking young. For those of you that don't know, I am 31 years young and without a doubt the last two years have been the best years of my life. Alright - lets get down to the nitty gritty!
My AM Routine!
Step 1 - Cleanse the face! I know I really need to revamp my cleansing process but I use water and a wash cloth and have at it! Don't judge - skincare is expensive so it takes time to get all the right products!
Step 2 - After my face is dry, I apply about 4 drops of CE Ferulic to my face. I primarily focus on my forehead and around my eyes - since that's where most of my fine lines are located. This product is a vitamin C serum that protects the face from environmental damage AND improves signs of aging and photodamage. CAN I GET AN AMEN! This stuff is what dreams are made of, yall! The only CON I can find about this product is the smell - it definitely smells like hot dog water! HAH but I'm willing to take that if it means I will always look like I'm in my 30's!

Step 2 - After the first serum has dried, I apply about two or three drops of Skinceuticals H.A. Intensifier to my entire face. The H.A. stands for Hyaluronic Acid - and I'm sure you all have seen this stuff everywhere as of late. This serum is perfect if you like to look dewey (who doesn't!) and helps amplify your skins hyaluronic acid levels! This is more of a gel in my opinion, but it does come in a dropper bottle!

Step 3 - Next up is the first Skinceuticals product I ever owned - the Hydrating B5 gel. This also comes in a dropper bottle. I apply about two or three drops all over my face. When applying this, it literally feels like my face is drinking water. I know there is probably a better way to describe this but it feels totally refreshing and moisturizing.

After I apply the serums listed above, I finish with an spf. This is CRUCIAL! You must use an spf! I have been using the Elta MD tinted spf and really like how it feels and the protection it provides!

My PM Routine
Of course step one for my pm routine includes a good cleansing of the face. BTW - I have been using those little face pads (similar to Face Halo but from Amazon) andI am not a fan. I find they are too small. I prefer using an entire washcloth when washing my face.
Step Two - After my face is dry and clean, I apply about a pea size amount of Skinceuticals Retinol 0.5. This is the mid-strength retinol and should only be used once your skin has developed some sort of tolerance of retinol. There is a version that is Retinol 0.3 so if you have not used retinol before, I'd suggest starting there. Of course, always consult with the aesthetician that you are purchasing from or have worked with before! I don't use this every day - but I use about 3x a week.

Step Three - Nighttime is so much easier yall! I finish off my regimen with a good thick moisturizer. I have been using the Skinceuticals Emollience and really like the moisture it provides. This jar will last you a looong time! If I don't apply the retinol, then I skip to this step and just apply the moisturizer. So easy!

And that is it friends! I have been using these products for almost 5 months and my skin has never looked better! The products are easy to use and last a very long time! I started using these products after a skincare professional that I trusted, recommended them.
